Location:

The Bodhi Tree hotel is located in Swiss Park, Kolkata. The closest metro station, Rabindra Sarovar, is approximately 5 minutes by foot and it's a 20 minute ride on the metro (red line) from Dum Dum station, which is the closest station to the airport. Dum Dum station can still take over 30 minutes to reach by taxi (in traffic) which seems to be the case most of the time in this area. Most of the attractions in Kolkata are connected by the metro's red line, so it's a convenient base to explore Kolkata. The immediate area where the hotel is located is a relatively quiet residential area; a nice base from the seemingly chaotic and loud Kolkata. Our taxi driver from the airport had trouble finding the hotel, but did eventually find it by asking around.

Room Comfort:

The room we stayed in at this establishment was beautiful, spacious and contained many authentic and unique decorations. Moreover, there is a lot of artwork at the hotel, which moonlights as an art gallery for local artists. We stayed in the Vajrayana room of the Bodhi Suite. The room and suite were beautiful and very comfortable. The area and hotel are quiet, so the beautiful room and comfortable bedding made for a really good night's rest. We didn't find the black and white motif of the bathroom as appealing, but that's a matter of taste and nothing else. The bathroom included many beautiful personal touches to make it more appealing. Describing how beautifully decorated this hotel and its rooms really are does not do the hotel justice. You simply have to see it to understand what we are trying to articulate.

Cleanliness:

The hotel and room were spotless. There were some flies, especially in the bathroom, but that's nothing unusual for hotels in India or elsewhere with similar climates.

Service:

The staff were friendly and nice, going above and beyond their call of duty to make our stay memorable. Check-in was a bit time consuming as we had to fill out a detailed from, but that's standard among hotels in India. The staff were very good and thorough in showing us all the features of the room. At check-out a staff member checked the room in front of our presence, seemingly to ensure that we didn't leave anything behind.

Food:

We had breakfast at the hotel and didn't particularly like it as much, but in fairness to the cook and staff, they did prepare it about an hour before the scheduled breakfast time, which typically starts at around 8AM.  We have to give them a lot of credit for making breakfast for us one hour earlier so that we could catch our early morning flight. Also, the chef did enquire whether we enjoyed the meal at breakfast, which was a nice touch. Don't get us wrong, the breakfast wasn't bad. It was actually nicely prepared and contained a good mix of food, its just that we didn't like the flavour. It's a matter of personal taste rather than poor quality.

Overall Value:

This hotel is a great base for a wonderful holiday in Kolkata and for exploring Kolkata. It offers beautiful and very clean rooms for a reasonable price. We recommend this hotel for a multi-night stay, but not for an overnight stay during a stopover flight as the location isn't ideal if you are flying in and out of Kolkata without the intention of exploring the city.

Other Notes:

  • Be aware that the metro trains in Kolkata have "Ladies Only" sections. Be respectful of those signs.
  • Some metro stations, including Rabindra Sarovar, forbid carrying big bags and/or luggage into the metro station during certain times of the day. Even though we took the metro from that station to Dum Dum during the restricted time, we were able to convince the police officers to let us through. Although they gave us a hard time, they eventually understood our desperation and let us through.

Inquiries:

You can visit the hotel's website at: alessandra-resort.com or check out Hotels.com for the best deals on other accommodations in the Palolem, Goa, India area.

Location:

This Israeli-owned resort is located on the northern end of Palolem Beach, Canacona, Goa, just a few meters from the Arabian Sea. The small village of Palolem is located a few minutes by walk from the resort. We really liked the location because it wasn't as crowded as central or southern Palolem Beach, yet it was still only 5 minutes by walk from them. There were many stray dogs on the beaches of Goa which we often heard howling in unison in the evenings. As horrible as the howling was, it usually didn't last that long and could be heard no matter where you are staying. When the dogs weren't howling, it was nice to hear the ocean waves from our hut at this resort.

Room Comfort:

The huts in Palolem, Goa are all very basic, differing mainly in price, amenities, location and service. The huts at Alessandra resort were no different as they were fairly basic and small. The huts are built each season, so there are some small differences year to year, but the location always remains the same. Specifically, the huts at this resort were made out of bamboo and sit on stilts in the sand. They are not solid structures, thus there are small holes in the bamboo "walls" where insects and mosquitoes enter into the room. This is the case with all of the accommodations in Palolem, so don't let that deter you from staying here. Although our hut was small, there was a shelf where we were able to put some things on, but generally didn't have room to really unpack. There are many choices of huts at this resort, some of which have an en-suite bathroom. We stayed in a hut with an en-suite bathroom that was very spacious and contained a very good water heater which is really rare for this area. Most of the resorts in Palolem have only cold water. Our hut also contained a sink, toilet and a mirror which are also rare in this area. There was a mosquito net over the bed that served its purpose and gave us the peace of mind we needed to sleep well at night. The room also had electricity, (although electricity can be unpredictable in this area so bring a flashlight just in case), electrical outlets and free Wi-Fi.

The hotel also had lockers near the reception/bar where you could lock your valuables, just bring your own lock. Even though we didn't have one, they provided us with one which we didn't end up using as we felt our things were perfectly safe inside the room.

Cleanliness:

The huts and resort were clean. The towels and sheets were clean and smelled fresh. If you want your room cleaned daily, they ask you to leave your key at the front desk during the day, otherwise your room will not be cleaned. If you needed anything else, like toilet paper or clean towels, you just have to ask. We really liked this type of service as you were in control about what you wanted. They also cleaned the trash bins if you left them on your hut's porch.

Another great and thoughtful feature that they provided was a wash bin in front of each hut where you could rinse off the sand from your feet before entering your hut. They changed the water often.

Service:

The staff was very friendly and laid-back which is very appropriate for this area. They provided us with everything that we needed when we asked for it. They were helpful, nice, friendly, trustworthy and kind without ever making us feel like we needed to buy something from them. The service was simply appropriate and great.

Some of the free services provided at the resort included, free wireless internet, sun chairs, sun umbrellas, lockers (and locks if you REALLY need one), and so on.

Food:

We ate breakfast at this resort every chance we got. The portions were large and delicious. We didn't try lunch or dinner at their restaurant, but are pretty certain that they are equally good.

Overall Value:

We really enjoyed our stay at the Alessandra Resort. Although the huts are basic, they are clean and comfortable. Since the majority of the huts in Palolem are basic, the choice really comes down to price and what the resort offers. This resort offered hot water, wireless internet, private bathrooms, good service and a great location which made us chose it over all of the other choices. Although it's priced a little bit higher than its neighbours, there is no doubt we would stay here anyway again. We should also mention that the resort had a very peaceful Bedouin style seating area where you can enjoy drinks while you watch the sunset. We also enjoyed the music that the resort played throughout the day as it was very nice and mellow. The vibe at this resort was perfect. The only unfortunate part is that we forgot our red Frisbee with the words "Toronto Sunshine" on it when we left. This Frisbee has been around the world so take good care of it. If you stay here, see if it's still there and feel free to use it.

Other Notes:

  • Subject to availability, the resorts in this area will offer you a better price than if you make a reservation in advance, (especially if you are booking over the Internet).
  • Almost all beach hotels/resorts in this area are temporary, basic structures since zoning laws forbid any permanent development on this beach.

Inquiries:

You can visit the hotel's website at: delhihotelsleroi.com or check out Hotels.com for the best deals on other accommodations in New Delhi, India.

Location:

This boutique hotel is located on busy street, Raj Guru Road, Chuna Mandi, in New Delhi, India. Specifically, the hotel is located about a 10 minute walk from the closest metro station, R.K. Ashram Marg. This subway station was convenient to get to Connaught Place (one stop) for only Rs.8 and Rs.12 and one transfer got us to Old Delhi (Chandni Chowk) relatively quickly. If you know where you are going, the New Delhi train station is also less than 30 minutes by foot. The immediate vicinity outside of the hotel is busy, loud and appears chaotic, but that's the part we loved the most. The area has many local shops and quick eats. Water can be purchased from local shops nearby at inexpensive rates. We found the area fun and safe during the day and at night. The people in this area were friendly and for the most part didn't notice us. There are other hotels in this area so there were quite a few other travelers in this area as well.

Room Comfort:

The rooms were modern and comfortable. Our room (#401) was a good size for 2 people, as it allowed us to unpack and spread out without feeling claustrophobic. The comforters on the bed were very soft and made for a good nights rest. The room had a flat screen TV, cable to plug in your laptop to get a free Internet connection, big ceiling fan, coffee table, 2 seats, a desk with a chair, mini-fridge, a wardrobe and a couple of full length mirrors. Our room also had a large window overlooking the main street which we really liked, but it was a bit noisy at times which we didn't mind. The bathroom was also modern and had a glass wall looking into the bedroom or vice versa. Overall, the room and the decor was very modern, even for Western standards.

The one thing we didn't like about the room was that there was no central heating at the time of our stay, although provisions were there to have it at some point. We were there in late January and the room temperature hovered around 16°C at night and around 18°C during the day. The hotel staff did provide us with a small heater, but it wasn't effective enough to heat the room.

Cleanliness:

The hotel, restaurant and room were clean. There were a couple of minor issues, such as a couple of tiny ants in the bathroom, cracked paint in the hallway, small scratches on the wall, but otherwise very good and clean. The manager of the hotel cares about the hotel so we are fairly certain that he will take the necessary steps to ensure the hotel does not become worn and rundown too quickly.

Service:

We have a lot of positive things to say about the service at the hotel, but it's not all positive. Let's start with the good.

  • The doormen were always willing to open the door, help with luggage and did it with a smile on their faces.
  • Most staff was very nice, friendly and helpful.
  • The manager is helpful, honest and fair.
  • Taxis and tours can be easily arranged through the hotel, (but keep in mind that they are quite a bit more expensive than arranged elsewhere).

When our train to Agra (Taj Mahal) was delayed due to fog early one morning, we decided to arrange a day tour to the Taj Mahal through Hotel Le Roi. It was early Sunday morning and this was our only day to see the Taj Mahal, so despite knowing we would be paying more for the tour than offered by taxi drivers in front of the train station, we didn't want to take any chances and went to our hotel to arrange the tour. The staff at the hotel was able to arrange everything within 15 minutes and we were on our way shortly thereafter. The quality and service provided by the tour was really good. Considering the hotel arranged the tour within 15 minutes, really early on a Sunday morning, we were impressed and have to give them a lot of credit for being able to accommodate us at the last minute.

Despite all of the positive things about this hotel and their service, our initial experience with the hotel was bad and we hope that what we experienced does not happen to anyone else. Since our flight was scheduled to arrive in New Delhi at 11PM, we decided to book the airport pick-up service through the hotel, knowing that it was significantly more expensive than getting a taxi directly from the airport. We were worried that the hotel would forget about our reservation since we did not provide a deposit, so this was our way of making sure that the hotel was aware that we were coming. In addition to booking the airport pick-up service through the hotel, we had also re-confirmed our reservation a couple of days before our arrival. Although our taxi arrived 10 minutes late, we were taken to Hotel Le Roi directly from the airport. When we arrived at the hotel, the gentleman behind the desk, who claimed to be the manager, told us that the hotel is full due to the flight and train cancellations that hit New Delhi that week, but they have made arrangements for us to stay at their sister hotel. Although we were tired and not happy, we went along and let their taxi service take us to their sister hotel. When we saw the rooms we refused to stay there. At this point the manager of that hotel tried sending us to another hotel which we did not go along with after looking at it on the Internet with them. The hotels that they were trying to send us to were well below par with Hotel Le Roi and we simply could not accept staying at unfamiliar locations in hotels that were dirty, not to mention that our directive was to review this hotel. Even though the taxi driver refused to take us back to Hotel Le Roi, a staff member from the sister hotel eventually ended up driving us back to Hotel Le Roi. It took over 45 minutes of arguing with them to take us back, which eventually they did. When we got to Hotel Le Roi, we decided to spend the night on their sofas in the lobby until a room became available. They were kind enough to provide blankets, but our night was ruined and we were really tired the following day. At about 4AM the guests that were given our room checked out and we were able to check-in shortly thereafter. Although we understand that due to unexpected events (such as plane and train cancellations) hotels might have to accommodate existing guests, we realized during check-in that this was not the case with our situation. At check-in we were asked to fill out their guestbook which includes a column with the time that we arrived. When we were filling out the guestbook, we noticed that the people that checked-out where the same people that were given our room just 30 minutes before we arrived. This to us is not acceptable. In our professional opinion, these individuals should have been taken to the other hotel since we had a reservation for that night (and several nights thereafter) and they didn't. They simply arrived 30 minutes before we arrived. Since they had money in their hand and we were not at the hotel yet, perhaps the staff member who claimed to be the manager decided it's better to book the room than to take a chance on us not showing up, despite the fact that we were using a taxi service arranged through them. We didn't like the way this was handled and that the staff member misrepresented himself to be the manager when he wasn't. We did speak to the actual manger about this the following day and hope that this will not happen to anyone else. During check-out, the manager did not try to charge us for the night we booked and spent in the lobby which was good. We really believe that if it wasn't for that one individual working the desk that evening, our room would have been waiting for us on our arrival. This individual was not honest (as we learned that evening and on another occasion where he didn't have change for something we paid for and promised to return it the following day which he never did. We did eventually get our change from the manager who, without hesitation, returned it to us and later verified the accuracy of our claims with that individual.) It's a shame that this occurred, but hopefully it won't happen to anyone else.

Food:

Breakfast was included with the booking and was simple but sufficient. On our last day we ordered some Roti and other local specialties from their restaurant and were amazed that the staff left the hotel to buy it from a local vendor down the street to serve to us. The food was good, so the only thing we would do is find out where they bought it from and buy directly from them at a better price.

Overall Value:

Although our initial experience with the hotel was really bad, the hotel and most staff are very good. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel and recommend it to others. We would stay at this hotel again. Although it's not a cheap hotel for New Delhi standards, it certainly isn't expensive for what they offer. We should also mention that there are future plans to build a swimming pool and a fitness center, among other things, but as we learned by traveling throughout India, future plans often remain as such indefinitely. It's always a good idea to confirm with the hotels in India that they actually have what they say they have on their websites, especially if it's something that you are looking for.

Other Notes:

  • When arriving in New Delhi for the first time, especially at night, avoid getting driven to unfamiliar locations and hotels. As a general rule while traveling to any country, be insistent that you get what you asked for or else you might find yourself being taken advantage of.
  • There are many touts at the train station that are commissioned to bring tourists to a travel agency across the street from the train station that claims to be a "tourist office". The tourist office is at the train station and not across the street. These touts will tell tourists that your train to Agra Cantt (Taj Mahal) is delayed but there is another train leaving shortly thereafter and this "tourist agency" can rebook you for that train. Since the train is often delayed and there are multiple trains that leave for this area, it all seems legit. The scam occurs when they promise to refund the costs of your original tickets that never comes. The agent at the travel agency will tell you that you need to pay for the new tickets and they will refund you the money for the old tickets (via credit card) as separate transactions. Although the tickets they issue are real, the refund for your original tickets will never arrive. As a result, the travel agency made their commission by selling you train tickets. Don't fall for this scam. The real tourist office has limited hours but they are the only ones in a position to refund you the money for the train tickets, not the travel agency across the street. If you booked your tickets directly through the India Railway website (www.irctc.co.in) you can also get a refund through the website, provided that you meet their rules and conditions. We had no problem getting our money back for the train tickets through the official India Railway website when the train to Agra Cantt was eventually cancelled that day, but we did see many tourists fall for this scam.

YEAR REVIEWED
2010

Important Note:

You should know that money was stolen from our room safe by the hotel staff during our stay, so we recommend you stay elsewhere. There are a lot of better options of accommodations in this area to justify a night at this hotel, whether or not our money was stolen. Despite this event, we will discuss each individual section honestly as we experienced without prejudice, but not before explaining what happened.

We'll start off by saying that the in-room safe was complicated to set with your own code. After several attempts to set the code on the first night, we finally managed to set our own safe code. We required the staff to open the safe for us on 2 separate occasions before figuring out how to set the code and getting it to work. (The main problem was that the instructions provided for setting the safe code were different than the steps that you had to take to set it.) Two separate staff members came on those occasions to reset the code (and open the safe), without any additional keys. To get into the safe once you set the code was as simple as punching in a master code that cleared the old code and opened the safe. After our initial problems, we used the in-room safe without any problems for as few days until we returned from the beach on our final night and could not open the safe again. All of a sudden, our code did not work. Initially we didn't give much thought to this and called the main reception to open the safe for us again. This time a third person came and opened the safe. We were going into the safe to get the money to pay for an additional night at the hotel as we had extended our stay by 1 night earlier that day. When we got our wallet and counted our money, we realized we were missing Rs.2000 from the Rs.10,000 that we had. As soon as we discovered there was money missing, we went to the front desk to discuss what had happened. After speaking to the person at the desk and the manager over the phone, the manager finally came down from his office to speak to us in person. At this point we realized that someone must of went into our safe and that is why our code did not work. We explained this to the manager, but he refused to take any responsibility and kept telling us we must have spent it. This was simply not true because we label the money we leave in a room safe when we are not there. (Unfortunately the label fell to the bottom of the wallet so the person who took it probably did not notice it was there. There were other currencies in the wallet that were also labeled and left untouched.) Read our 'How To Avoid Being Ripped-off On Your Next Holiday' for details on how we've learned to protect us from this kind of thing. The hotel manager insisted that he can't do anything for us because he would be admitting that his staff stole, which he was not willing to admit. He claimed that only two people knew the code to reset the safe, including himself, so it was not possible for one of his staff to take the money. Since we already knew that 3 staff members, not including him, knew how to open the safe, we could tell he didn't know how many of his staff actually knew the code. After several minutes of "discussing" this, we asked to phone the police when the manager told his staff not to tell us the phone number or give us the phone. We insisted and eventually got them to let us use their phone only to find out they gave us the wrong number. At this point, we decided to cut our losses and packed up our stuff and left. We should also mention that the staff did not seem too surprised by our claims which makes us believe that they were well aware of it.

Inquiries:

You can visit the hotel's website at: jewelinn.in or check out Hotels.com for the best deals on other accommodations in Goa, India.

Location:

Although the hotel staff will make you believe that every taxi will know where the hotel is located, the truth is that they don't. We quickly learned that not many people in the area knew of the hotel as our taxi driver had trouble finding it even by asking several individuals in the vicinity of the hotel. When we finally found the hotel, it was easy to find again.

Despite the trouble of finding the hotel, we liked the location. The hotel is located approximately 5 minutes by walk from Calangute beach, Dominos Pizza and a decent Indian supermarket. The part of the beach that's close to the hotel is cleaner and quieter than the central part, which we preferred. The central part of the beach was about a 30 minute walk along the beach, but it was much busier and consisted mainly of local tourists.

Room Comfort:

The room we stayed in was very spacious and had a large en-suite bathroom. The bed was soft, perhaps because it was a sponge mattress, which depending on your preference could be bothersome. There was good in-wall A/C and a large ceiling fan that was fairly effective. We found the room fairly comfortable which we largely attribute to its large size because we were able to unpack and spread out.

As mentioned, the washroom was also spacious which we liked. The water pressure in the shower was good and there were no problems with having hot water during our stay. The main problem that we had with the shower was that everything got wet while we showered due to the positioning of the shower head. The other issues were that the bathroom fan was very loud and there were cobwebs in the bathroom. These were relatively minor problems with the bathroom that didn't impact our experience.

If you do decide to stay at this hotel, stay away from the rooms near the elevator because the elevator plays an awful loud sound when in motion which would be disturbing in rooms near the elevator.

Cleanliness:

Although the hotel only opened in December of 2008, the furniture was already a bit worn, there were cobwebs in the bathroom and there were stains on the curtains. Despite these minor signs of aging, the room was relatively clean.

Service:

On our arrival, we were given mango juice which was good. Check-in was fairly straight forward as the main concern of the staff was payment for the room. When we arrived in our room, we realized that our mini-fridge was empty, although it was accompanied by a price list, so were were a bit worried that we would be given a bill for items we didn't consume which didn't turn out to be an issue because they don't fill the fridges. Service at breakfast was slow, but sufficient.

Food:

The fixed menu for breakfast had limited choices, but the food was fairly good and consisted of a mix of Western and/or Indian food.

Overall Value:

This hotel markets itself as a "Three Star (Boutique) Resort" but certainly does not live up to expectations to justify spending a night here at any cost. Aside from having some money stolen from our in-room safe by the hotel staff, there are too many other problems to justify staying here, especially if you are paying the full posted rate.

Other than what we already described, this "resort" also publishes false information on their website. For example, they state on their website that they have "Wifi internet access", a "Well equipped gymnasium", and a "Travel Desk", all of which are false. First, there is no Wi-Fi or any other internet service available at the hotel. The reality is that they never had it, nor do they plan on getting it. Second, although they do in fact have a "gymnasium", located in the hallway between the elevator and the second floor, the term "well-equipped" is misleading. They have a limited number of dumbbells (to only 5kg), 1 treadmill, 1 exercise bike, a non-functional elliptical machine, an abdominal machine and a barely functional universal gym that is useless to anyone that has spent anytime at a fitness center as it will do more harm than good. Furthermore, there is no A/C in the hallway where the gym is located, nor are there towels or drinking water. We have no idea where the picture of the gym on their website comes from. Don't pick this "resort" based on the claims that they have a gym or Internet or else you will be very disappointed. Finally, their travel desk is their reception desk where the staff won't be able to help you with even the most basic travel needs.

Aside from the false claims on their website, there are more problems. The "resort" seems to have odd rules against bringing outside food. There are signs that say "Outside drinks and food is not permitted in the room" and that there is a "corkage charge of Rs.30 per bottle" if any liquids are brought from the outside. Despite these claims, we did bring drinks and food into the room and weren't charged additional fees, but you never know what they will do at this place.

Another problem was that we weren't able to make phone calls from our room. Our only option was to use the phone at reception for a charge of Rs.10 per 5 minutes. This was problematic when we wanted to call the police after the hotel staff took money from our safe and they wouldn't let us use their phone.

Although the "resort" wasn't the worst in the area, after having our money stolen at the hotel by the staff, how can we justify recommending this hotel? There are lot's of choices of accommodations in this area that are a better value, so stay elsewhere. Even if our money wasn't stolen, we still would not recommend this hotel. The hotel does not offer anything worth the amount that they are charging.

Other Notes:

  • This hotel caters mainly to tour groups from India, local tourists and very few travelers from outside of India.
  • The beach beds and sun umbrellas on Calangute and Baga beach are free from the beach "shacks" as long as you buy something from them. Their costs are very reasonable so it's definitely the way to go in this area.

Inquiries:

You can visit the hotel's website at: www.calangutegrande.com or check out Hotels.com for the best deals on other accommodations in the Calangute, Goa area.

Location:

The Calangute Grand hotel, that opened in April 2009, is conveniently located on the main Calangute/Baga Road. The location is quiet, yet still close enough to the main strip. The hotel is approximately a 5 minute walk from the beach and is just minutes away from the restaurants and shops. We think the location is ideal for the area.

Room Comfort:

The hotel offers 25 rooms, 16 of which are standard rooms. We stayed in a standard room and found the room to be big enough to feel comfortable. The room had 2 large balconies, a flat screen TV, a seating area, a mini fridge, a comfortable bed, a quiet air conditioning system and plenty of closet space. The decor was simple but nice. There wasn't a room safe; however, you could leave valuables at reception or with the manager. There was a full length mirror in the closet. The bathroom was simple but spacious enough to move around. We really enjoyed the nice hot shower. We thought the room was very comfortable and gave us everything (and more) that we needed to have an enjoyable holiday in this area of the Goa region.

At the time of our stay, there was Wi-Fi available in some rooms, or in the hotel lobby, for a small fee. The Wi-Fi was supplied by an outside source who serves some of the hotels in the area. The Wi-Fi has a 3KM range from the source so once you purchase it you have the flexibility to use it at other locations (even on the beach) as long as you are within range. We found the Wi-Fi service to be reliable and good.

Cleanliness:

The hotel is clean and very well maintained. Our room was very clean. The towels and sheets were fresh and clean. The bathroom was also clean and very well maintained. The mirrors and faucets were shinny. Daily room cleaning was provided.

Service:

The service was excellent! The hotel manager Savio and his staff were welcoming, friendly and efficient. The staff were very professional with a smile on their faces as we went in and out of the hotel. The manager running the hotel was simply wonderful. He was very professional, courteous and smart. We felt very welcomed and comfortable at all times. It was sad to leave because it felt as though we were leaving friends behind.

The hotel has a restaurant and a pool on site, along with a common area with couches and tables. There is also free onsite parking. The hotel is thinking of expanding and adding more facilities; however, at the time of our stay no decisions had been made finalized about the possible expansion.

Food:

The hotel offers different meal plans during booking. We decided to take the bed and breakfast plan (CP). The breakfast included a mix of Indian and Western food. We are not sure what the normal procedure was with breakfast because on one occasion we were provided with a set menu while on other occasions we were provided with a buffet breakfast. Nevertheless, regardless of how the breakfast was served it was good and filling. Made to order eggs were available every morning. Lunch and dinner are also available at a reasonable price.

Overall Value:

We truly enjoyed our stay here and recommend this small hotel. The rooms provided everything we needed to be comfortable and the hotel staff was great which made our stay memorable and enjoyable. The value was excellent.
