Location:
The hotel is located within walking distance to shops, sites and restaurants. It is set on a relatively quiet street away from all the hustle and bustle of Hong Kong, but within easy walking distance of most of the major attractions, including Nathan Road, Kowloon Park, Victoria Harbour, etc.. We can comfortably say that the location of the hotel makes for an excellent base to explore Hong Kong's tourist attractions.
Room Comfort:
The room was comfortable but would have been even more comfortable had the room been larger. The "silver guestroom" that we stayed in was quite small and just had enough room for a bed, dresser and chair. On the positive side, the room had floor to ceiling windows and offered beautiful views of the harbour and skyline. The room had modern decor, including a flat screen TV. The beds and linens were very comfortable making for a good night sleep. The bathroom was also small but had modern decor. The bathtub was set beside a large window which gave you a nice view to the city while enjoying a hot bath but potentially also offered views to onlookers from nearby buildings at night. We don't foresee this as a problem because this would only be the case at night and if someone purposely positioned high powered binoculars towards the bathrooms. The chances of this happening are slim and the windows are tinted so we can't be sure they would see anything anyway.
Cleanliness:
The hotel and rooms were clean, shiny and spotless. The hotel staff was also well dressed and nicely presented by wearing fine black suits.
Service:
Since this was a large and busy hotel we didn't feel that 'personal touch' to the service; however, we still felt that the service was great. The staff was always helpful and efficient in answering our queries and offering advice. They were also professional and polite. Check-in and check-out was hassle-free, quick and efficient. Since we booked and prepaid the hotel through Expedia.com
that offered the best deal, we really didn't have to pay for anything at check-out. Everything was done already through Expedia.com. Other services at the hotel include a fitness center (additional cost), a business center, wireless Internet access, restaurant and a sky garden.
Food:
Unfortunately we cannot comment on the food as we decided to eat elsewhere while we were in Hong Kong. However, we can attest that the restaurant had a wide variety of food that looked great.
Overall Value:
Overall, we were very happy with this hotel and our stay there. The hotel was comfortable, in a good location and was filled with friendly and efficient staff. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.
Other Notes:
One helpful thing to be aware of is that the hotel is within easy reach with public transportation from the Hong Kong airport. When you arrive at the Hong Kong airport, ask the information desk which free shuttle you can take to the hotel. You will first have to take the clean and efficient subway to the bus station where you will board the specific free shuttle that will take you to the front door of the hotel. You can also take this method of transportation back to the airport. In addition, when flying out of Hong Kong, you can check-in at the main subway terminal for your flight and making the rest of your trip to the airport hassle and baggage free.
