Hotel Park View, Havana, Cuba

Location:

The Park View Hotel is located on a quiet street just around the corner from the Museum of Fine Arts. We thought the location was good as it is within close walking distance to the seawall and all the major attractions in Havana. We felt very safe walking around the neighbourhood.

Room Comfort:

All rooms in this hotel are standard room. Although some are small we thought our corner room was pretty spacious. The rooms are decorated with simple decorations and some rooms offer nice views of the surrounding area. Although our room didn't have a balcony, some rooms do have balconies. Since our room had windows at two sides of the building, we had really good views of the surrounding area. The bathroom was also a good size. Toiletries were provided in the bathroom. The bed was a double bed and was comfortable. Our room also had a television set and a mini-fridge.

Cleanliness:

The room was clean. The staff was nicely dressed in clean and professional uniforms. The hotel lobby was clean and well-maintained.

Service:

The staff at this hotel were very friendly, courteous, polite, helpful and welcoming. Check-in and check-out were quick and efficient. The concierge was happy to call a taxi for us upon check-out and even helped us negotiate the cost of the taxi ride before we left.

Food:

Buffet breakfast was included in our booking. There was a wide variety of tasty foods to chose from. We left full and satisfied.

The relatively small and simply furnished restaurant is located on the top floor and offers nice views of the city.

Overall Value:

We enjoyed our stay and think this is a good place to stay if you are traveling on a budget. The rooms were comfortable, the staff was nice and the location was good. We recommend this hotel to those travelers who enjoy comfort but don't want to spend extra on luxury.
