Location:

The apartment is located off of the main road in a small apartment complex called KATIA Complex in the Protaras area of Cyprus. The complex is in a quiet area and private transportation is an asset to get to the tourist area of Protaras. Although the complex is close to the tourist strip, it's not close enough to walk. There is a public bus stop just outside the complex. The Protaras tourist strip is approximately a 5-minute drive from the complex and the beaches are within a 3-minute drive, depending on where you want to sunbath or swim. The city of Ayia Napa is approximately a 20-minute drive from the apartment complex. There is a large grocery store located approximately 20-minute drive from the complex. The owners are very good and provide a list and map of restaurants and shops in the area that may be of use with the corresponding driving distance. We preferred the location to a more central location because it was quieter and still within easy reach with our rental car.

Room Comfort:

The apartment was in great condition. We rented flat 3 which had one bedroom, a spacious bathroom, living room and kitchen. The decor was very nice and spacious enough to unpack and get comfortable. The apartment also had a washing machine. The beds and bedding were very comfortable. Air conditioning was provided in the apartment, along with a flat screen TV with plenty of channels, Sony Play Station, games and DVD movies. Unfortunately there wasn't any internet access during our stay but check with the owners to see if this has changed. A pool is also available in the complex. We were very comfortable here and enjoyed our stay. The apartment felt like our home away from home.

Cleanliness:

The apartment was very clean and well maintained. It's apparent by the condition of the apartment that the owners value their property and take very good care of it. Nevertheless, there were tiny ants in the kitchen, so we had to take extra care to ensure our food was tightly sealed to keep the ants out. Despite the small ants, the entire apartment complex is very clean and well maintained.    

Service:

The service was fantastic. We received timely responses to our emails from the owners and they set up a great meet and greet upon arrival. We used PayPal to pay for the apartment in advance which was easy and convenient. The owners are British and were not in Cyprus during our stay but sent a nice couple to welcome us to the apartment and ensured we had everything we needed during our stay. A good  welcome package of milk, bread, juice, coffee, tea, butter and jam was provided on arrival which was fantastic as we arrived late in the evening and stores had already closed. It was a great way to help us get started. The couple also met us upon check-out to say goodbye.

Food:

Not applicable as this is a self service apartment.

Overall Value:

We had a fantastic stay here and would definitely stay again. We thought the apartment was clean and well maintained. We really felt comfortable and highly recommend this apartment to others who like to be in a more quiet area away from the noise and partying of Ayia Napa.
